Cuts seem to be the order of the day. Here however is one we can all support the reduction of the LSC Manual by one volume down from 4 to 3.

I would not get too excited as I have a feeling that the price will not drop commensurately. It is quite outrageous that the LSC should adopt an exclusive publishing agreement for this title as it is contrary to government guidelines on copyright management. It could have been knocked out far cheaper, but the tendering PQQ simply knocked out smaller publishers.

The new manual is going to be 3 bound volumes (don’t get to excited I’m sure it will not be small book like the old Legal Aid Handbook) rather than the current loose leaf (Oh how I will miss those evenings spent updating it. Will be interesting to see the new price.
