Disturbing News

The newest that the Immigration Advisory Service is to go into administration is something of a shock. As the linked article states they are the largest Immigration supplier in the UK and this will provide a major problem for their many clients. It will also put 200 people out of work – though one hopes there might be some scope for them to get employment with alternative suppliers.
Over at the BBC an LSC spokesman is quoted as follows;
“During recent stewardship activities LSC raised concerns around financial management and claims irregularities which prompted IAS trustees’ to conclude that the organisation was no longer financially viable”.
They also make clear that this was the IAS’s decision alone.
I know nothing of the circumstances and so will not comment.
They were however, in many ways, the epitome of what a supplier in the “fewer, larger firms” market would look like.
