I listened to Mark Radcliffe interview Ane Brun yesterday afternoon. He also played the new version of “Don’t Give Up” she has recorded with Peter Gabriel (in which I have just invested 99p at iTunes Store). There are only some low quality, live versions on You Tube so I can’t do it as Friday Song. Neither can I “file share” it here nor find a free download. I was not particularly taken by her own tracks (though I will buy the latest album) but her vocal performance, of the Kate Bush bits on “don’t”, is simply stunning.
I am no Gabriel fan, nor that bothered about the song, you will however not find a better way to spend a quid today.
