On Friday the JLS boys went back to school and attended two very well presented courses on OFR and Lexcel v5.
We believe that the OFR are the most demanding requirements Solicitors have had imposed on them for a number of years. It sees a fundamental shift in auditing practice by the SRA and unfortunately has all the hallmarks of the LSC’s attempt to do something similar a number of years ago. Already we are seeing early administration problems with regard to the registering of firms COLP’s and COFA’s. We hope that this isn’t a sign of things to come.
Over the next couple of weeks the JRS field work team will be constructing a number of products which can assist firms in ensuring compliance and the understanding of these regulations whether this can be with the implementation of Lexcel v5, bolt on packages to our existing retainer clients or simply one-off projects.
