Pants on Fire

The difficulty involved in preparing training courses, in the run up to an LSC Contract change, is amply illustrated here.

So we have been issued the draft contract only for last minute a changes of heart. I would not want to diminish the tireless work of those involved in these negotiations but at the end of the day the practical impact is not likely to be huge. Once again the LSC have turned me into a training course liar (errata e-mails winging their way to delegates as we speak).

The eye catching one for the average practitioner is the retention of “tolerances”, not though there is much left in scope to use them on mind you. I will also have to change the bullet point on threshold for repayment by installment – which will not now be increased to £5K from £1K.

We will continue to keep our eyes open for any further movement.
