In recent times we have been involved in a couple of cases involving the recovery of unpaid Crown Court contributions. Sometimes we don’t blog on stuff like this so as not to potentially prejudice the ongoing case. Sometimes we also like to keep successful tactics quiet so that they don’t subsequently get “closed down” – this was also the case here.
This today in the “LAA Crime News” is very interesting and all Crown Court teams need to be aware of it. Key message:
If your client is going to be better off instructing you privately you need to tell the National Courts Team.
We have reproduced S.12.4 of the Criminal LA Manual for ease of reference.
