Palm, Silver

I had a series of lengthy phone calls yesterday to do with the closure of legal aid law firms. You do not have to have my psychic powers to foresee that this is only likely to increase.

I also predict the following:

It will be a happy and profitable year for the administrators of closing law firms.

It will be less so for their creditors – especially Costs Drafting firms who have worked hard with them to try and stay afloat.

I will expand my already interesting range of “war stories” concerning the inconsistent application of the LAA Novations Policy

Lastly with the vultures soaring these heady thermals; why has the MoJ not spotted that the simplest and most cost effective way of achieving “market consolidation” is simply to sit back and admire their handiwork to date.
