We are, quite rightly, urged to contribute to the MoJ’s latest “pot noodle” consultation on Duty Contracts.
It contains the typical obtuse set of questions we are familiar with and one imagines they will be as thoroughly considered as last time.
The striking element however is the following directive:
“Please provide evidence to support your views.”
Since when have the current incumbents at the MoJ framed Legal Aid policy on the basis of “evidence”?
