Final Whistle?

Anybody who has spoken to me on the subject of the LAA assessment of Duty Bids will read this and regard me as a prophet. As the article suggests this whistleblow is incendiary and explains why yesterday we said:

Contract bid results will see no real winners and yet we want to wish everybody good luck – largely because luck is as likely as any other factor to inform the outcomes.

Cutting to the chase this means that they had non-expert staff, marking a question every 12-15 minutes or so. I reckon I know/knew these questions like the back of my hand but doubt that I could achieve that productivity – let alone with the reliability and consistency required of such an important decision.

The moderation process sounds like another “makeitupaswegoalongery” shambles.

By all accounts this is no minion who’s views can be dismissed. Whether this is sufficient to call a halt to today’s plans is another matter. At least you will know, either way, that you have a result on which you cannot really rely.
