On this occasion my predictive skills have proved weak and the Specialist Quality Mark staggers on as an alternative quality assurance standard to Lexcel, seemingly for at least another 3 years.
For those facing an upcoming audit there are also a few changes you need to be aware of.
- From April there is a new assessment body Recognising Excellence
- The audit process now only has 2 stages until award – a desktop and a pre QM audit. There is then a 3 yearly post QM audit.
- There are some specific changes to the audit process which those currently in the award process should have a look at and which are summarised here
