Hard on the heels of Labour’s PCT response comes this article. TLSG have posed the million dollar PCT question to each of the top 25 CDS suppliers – “Will you bid?”
It is heartening that of the 17 who have made up their minds 14 say “No”.
Perhaps the most interesting revelation comes from the LAA’s Hugh Barratt:
“The Legal Aid Agency’s director of commissioning Hugh Barrett has said that if not enough firms bid, the agency will introduce simple administrative fee cuts of around 20%. He indicated that this could be done regionally or nationally”.
Has he not just given the MoJ tactical game away?
