My 45 page, 11000 word PHd thesis on “costs” complete I have finally had time to read this excellent article by Stephen Halloran. It takes apart the MoJ’s economic “rationale” for the current savaging of Legal Aid and is well worth a read.
My guess is that even if someone at the MoJ follows suit and agrees with the analysis it will sitll not assuage their appetite for destruction.
