Goodbye

Well it’s time for me to say goodbye.

27 years after starting JRS, I’m retiring. I’m not disappearing completely but will not be “operational” after the end of March.

I’ve decided against penning a lengthy reminiscence piece, which nobody would read. Instead I just want to thank the hundreds of sensational firms I’ve worked with over the years; your unwavering commitment to legal aid work, despite the best efforts of those running the scheme, has been the highlight of my working life.

I can’t leave without also thanking my fabulous colleagues, the best possible hands imaginable to be leaving you in.

So, no more billing queries in the pub on a Friday teatime, but do ring me if you ever want a steer on a Spanish recipe, a planned Andalusian trip or just a bit of a moan.
